Meet Our Administrative Team

State Director - Scott Elza

Scott Elza is an Accounting Instructor at WITC – Rice Lake. He joined BPA to help students grow in leadership skills and find the confidence to be successful in their new careers. Scott loves that BPA brings something to the table for all business students with diversity in competitions, community involvement activities, and individual development.

The award he is most proud of is not from his individual efforts but the efforts of the whole of Wisconsin – The Professional Cup! Wisconsin BPA has retained the Cup for five of the last six years. Scott feels that this award exemplifies the teamwork and dedication of the state wide advisors, alumni, and student members.

Fun Facts – He and his wife, Anne, recently cleared a 60’ x 6’ patch of poison ivy on an 85 degree, humid day while basically dressed in bio-hazard suits (long sleeves, long pants, & gloves)

“BPA has something for all business students; the diversity of competitions, the individualism of the Torch Awards Program, and the community involvement incentives of BPA Cares give a wealth of opportunities for individual leadership and professional growth in each student.” ~ Scott

Assistant Director - Sheila Wilcox

Sheila Wilcox was a past BPA Member and student at WITC – Ashland. While attending WITC, she earned five Associate degrees in Finance, Administrative Professional, Business Management, Accounting, and Human Resource. Sheila joined because she was looking for more to do while attending college and BPA sounded exciting! As a member, Sheila served as both a local and state officer, earned four Ambassador Torch Awards, received two Mike Tokheim Awards, placed as a state and national finalist, and earned her national Merit Scholar.

Sheila loves “everything” about BPA – networking, personal development, confidence builder – yes, everything! She plans to be a lifelong learner while making improvements to her home which she shares with her only son.

Fun Facts – Sheila designed and built the house she lives in and her son is an Eagle Scout & welder.

Assistant Director - Brianna Sprague

Brianna Sprague has been a Business Professionals of America Alumni Member ever since she graduated from college. During her time as a student, Brianna served as the Wisconsin BPA State Secretary and President of her local BPA chapter. On the BPA National level, she received the Ambassador Torch award, earned the Merit Scholar, is a National Officer Scholarship recipient, and placed first in Advanced Interview Skills.

Earning a degree as an Administrative Professional, Brianna graduated from Lakeshore Technical College in 2015 with presidential honors. She currently resides in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

"BPA taught me what a joy student involvement can be. It was perfect blend of group and individual challenges that encouraged me to push myself and others toward success. I’ve found that with every accomplishment through BPA, I became more confident in myself and my abilities, which in turn inspired me to try more things that I once would have considered outside my comfort zone. My time as a student BPA member gave me memories and experiences that I will never forget." ~ Brianna
